Included are minutes and accounts books for Thompsonville Carpet Manufacturing Company (1828-1854); Hartford Carpet Company (1854-1901); Hartford Carpet Corporation (1901-1914); E.S. Higgins Carpet Company (1837-1901); Lowell Manufacturing Company (1828-1899); Stephen Sanford and Sons (1838-1929); Bigelow-Hartford (1914-1929). There are also minutes and reports for some of the divisions of Bigelow-Sanford. These materials were collected in the writing of a history of the Company at the Harvard Business School, and some of the history project files are also in the collection.
